The Gallogly College of Engineering at The University of Oklahoma is committed to recruiting and graduating students who will be among the most sought-after engineering graduates in the country. As the largest engineering program in Oklahoma with 3,655 undergraduate students, 618 graduate students and a 115-member faculty, we are striving to provide the best engineering education available in higher education today. The AISES chapter at the University of Oklahoma is one of the founding chapters.
The OU National Weather Center houses a unique confederation of The University of Oklahoma, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and state organizations that work together in partnership to improve understanding of events occurring in Earth’s atmosphere over a wide range of time and space scales.
Special instructions for the attendees of the tour: When visiting the National Weather Center, guests need to bring government issued ID. All foreign national visitors to the National Weather Center must fill out and submit this form in order to be cleared into federal spaces during their visit. The University of Central Oklahoma is one of the oldest educational institutions in the state of Oklahoma. It is recognized as a Metropolitan University with campuses in Edmond and in downtown Oklahoma City. In April, the University hosted the 2nd largest NCUR (National Conference for Undergraduate Research) Conference ever held. The College of Mathematics and Science contains all STEM majors and has had 62% growth in the last 10 years. The College has 7 departments: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering & Physics, Funeral Service, Mathematics & Statistics, and Nursing. Undergraduate research and small class sizes are the primary focus for the College. A new Interdisciplinary STEM Teaching and Research Center will open in November 2018.

This tour is designed to introduce the students attending to the wide range of college and career paths found in the Oklahoma City community. Students get an up-close-and-personal view of what life is like on a college campus, participate in hands-on activities, and explore a variety of fields such as STEM, Health Service and Human Services. Early exposure to career options help students leave the tour excited about the future and motivated to take the next steps in their education.
Refreshments will be provided mid-tour.
