National award-winning recording artist Kelly Jackson and her 7-piece band have decorated stages across the country, showcasing at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, the Hard Rock Cafe in Phoenix Arizona.

Kelly is an enrolled member of the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians currently living in Madison, Wisconsin. Ms. Jackson’s genre is Native Americana, having roots in folk, jazz, country, rock and now pop and hip-hip all infused with native influences such as drums, shakers, bells and the majestic sound of the native flute.  She composes rhythms and harmonies that compliment her native roots and the lyrical messages that invoke healing, self-empowerment and cultural reflection.

Ms. Jackson has shared the stage with the Indigo Girls in their efforts to champion environmental preservation.  Kelly Jackson’s music celebrates and supports women’s personal and professional development and she strives to include other indigenous artists in her nonprofit work.

She was one of Brava Magazine’s Women to Watch in 2014 for her nonprofit work and empowering musical collections.  Ms. Jackson earned a Native American Music Award for her album, Spirit of a Woman, for best Americana Album of the Year and was nominated in four other categories including Best Female Artist of the Year.

Her first album won Best Americana Album of the Year in the Native American Music Awards in 2012 and continues to hit the top 40 in INI music playlists, while with her single, After All This Time hits the top 40 play list on Canada’s Sirius radio.  Kelly’s recently released her single, “Wake Up” already it has earned national recognition.

Her 2015 album, Renditions of the Soul gained admiration for its unique flare and remarkable production and was an Indigenous Music Award nominee in the category of best folk album of the year.  It is a collection that addresses topics of sexual violence, addiction and most importantly the ability to thrive, build and empower each other no matter the obstacles that challenge our lives. Ms. Jackson’s music offers a sense of empowerment while recognizing the unique struggles of indigenous populations.
