With a deep commitment to increasing the number of Native people in science, Dr. Clifton Poodry (Seneca) has spent his life opening doors and illuminating the pathway for Native people in science. In this session, Dr. Poodry will provide unique insight and inspiration to those who are considering, or are currently undertaking, a career path in the biological sciences. Through the sharing of his own experience of navigating a challenging and successful career in a field where there are far too few Native people, Dr. Poodry will inspire and motivate attendees in their own journeys while also providing sound and practical advice.
